Dear Parents;

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support throughout the year, and for making this year a very special one for the children, Mrs. Rosa, Mrs. Vasquez, and myself. Also, I would like thank the children in for all the warmth, the memories, and the learning that we have share this school year. God bless you.

Tomorrow I will be making phone call everyday If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them. Zoom Lessons will be on Monday at 11:00, Tuesday at 11:30 AM. On Wednesday at 11:00 we will begin our virtual ceremony. Please make sure you log in on time.

End of the Year Farewell  Zoom will go on for those students who tuition is up to date in Prek-1.  Zoom sessions will continue until June 18. There will be a Parent Teacher conference on June 19th, and June 22 for those parents which tuition payments are up to date. I will call to find out what is the best time of the day for you. 

I would like to remind you that there are still some work package at the school office from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. These are activities will be for your child to do classwork at home. It would be a great idea to acquire the rest of the booklets so that your child can use them for classwork and their summer vacation. Please bring shopping bags for the booklets. As you may know school will en on June 18th, 2020.

Pray:  Our Father

Pledge of Allegiance:

  • Ask your child what the colors of the flag means : red means courage; white means peace and purity; blue means justice.
  • How many stars are in the american flag (50).
Calendar:

Vocabulary Words: jump, joy, jaguar, Jesus, jello, jeans, jacket, jeep, John, jelly, jar


Strategies:
  • First, have your child spell June.
  • Then ask him for words with initial sound /j/.
  • Then ask: How many days we have in a week?   What day are we in? What is the date? (Say day, month, number, year) Example: Today is Tuesday June 16th, the year 2020.
  • Have the children count forward from 1-10, and from 10 to 1.
  • Count in ordinals from 1st- 5th.

Religion:

God Is With Us

Aim: The children will learn to appreciate that  God is always with us.

Vocabulary Words: God, care, love, alone, together

Strategies:

  • Then ask: What have you learn about God this year? How would you show that God is always with you? How can you show God that you will keep him in your heat and in your life.
  • Then tell your child that wherever we may go in the world we should remember what we learn about God this year.
  • Then explain that they are going to celebrate together that God is always with us.
  • Then have your child say what he learned about God.
  • Then I will ask each child the following question: How would you celebrate God's love for you? What would you tell a friend about God? Why? 

Reading:

Sequence of Events

Aim: The children will learn to listen for sequencing, and rhyming words.

Vocabulary Words: sequence

Strategies:
  • Then  lead your child in reciting "Jack and Jill" several times.
  • Then  help your child recite the beginning and end of "Jack and Jill."
  • I will point to the lines that tells what happens at the beginning .
  • I will ask: What did Jack and Jill did at the beginning of the of the rhyme?
  • Then I will ask the children to recite the beginning of "Jack and Jill" with me.
  • I will ask your to identify rhyming words in the story.
  • Then, have your child recite the end of the rhyme alone.
  • Then ask: What happened at the end of the rhyme?
  • Then ask your child to act out the rhyme "Jack and Jill."
  • Ask: What is the tittle of the rhyme? What happened at the beginning of the rhyme? What happened at end of the rhyme? What are some words from the rhyme that are rhyming words?

Math:

One Fewer, One More

Aim: The will learn to create a group with one fewer object than another group.

Vocabulary Words: fewer, one more

Strategies:
  • First,  display two lines of three cubes or any other objects each.
  • Then go over vocabulary word: equal,more, fewer
  • Then ask your child if the groups are equal. (The same)
  • Then take away one cube from one group. 
  • Then ask: How many cubes are in each group? Are the groups are equal now? What did you do to find out which group has one fewer?
  • Continue the to the same with other numbers of cubes or other objects.
