Dear Parents,

Pickup is at 3:00 p.m.  If the child is being picked up by an individual not already listed in the emergency card, parents must call the office with the name and the individual must present identification.  

There will a mass at 9:00 am.  Parents are welcome but, they are  requested to sit in back of the church, and wear a mask.

Reminders:

• Homework only the marked pages.
• Bring a water bottle.
• Dress down on Fridays and bring a dollar.
• Income Survey will be sent home on Monday with the students. Please send survey by Thursday October 1st.
• Gym will be on Mondays.

Sept. 21 -Sept. 25

 Dear Parents,

Parent Signature Pages and Emergency cards are due . Please return them in the envelope in which they were distributed.

Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM, and lunch break is at 12:00 P.M. If the child prefers lunch from home, food must be in a container or thermal. Only juice box for lunch or snack. Class begins immediately at 8:15 A.M.  Pickup is at 3:00 p.m.  If the child is being picked up by an individual not already listed in the emergency card, parents must call the office with the name and the individual must present identification. 

There will be  Dress Down on every Friday, just bring a dollar. The dollar is to buy medicine to a Hatian orphanage.

Also, there will be an Early Dismissal on Friday at 12:00 noon.

Religion: Families - Have your child bring in a family picture on Monday.

Reading: Rhymes - Identify rhyming words, and the fun words in rhymes.

Math: Sorting by color, size, shape and other different ways.

Sept. 14th - Sept.18th, 2020

 Dear Parents,

All paperwork distributed at the Parents' Meeting must be completed and submitted back to me in the original envelope as soon as possible.  Please make sure both emergency cards are completed and please specify all of your child's allergies and medical conditions. 

Also , please follow all health guidelines, so that everyone stays healthy and safe. We are following all the health protocols required by the NY Health Dept. All Pre-k student go in through the church main entrance door and their temperature will be taken.

Lunch break is at 12:00 noon. If the child prefers lunch from home, food must be in a container or thermal. No glass bottles for lunch or snack. 

No breakfast is served at 8:00 AM.  Class begins immediately after breakfast.  Pickup is at 3:00 p.m.  If the child is being picked up by an individual not already listed in the emergency card, parents must call the office with the name and the individual must present identification. 

If you have any concern please call the office and they will transfer the call to my room.

Lessons of the Week:

Religion: Preschool experience in the preschool classroom

Reading: Class rules; "The Kissing Hand" to help children overcome first day of school anxiety; body parts; role play; exploring abilities

Math: Positions (left/right, over/under/on, inside/outside, front/behind); same/different

Science: Self-awareness

Story Time: "I Like Myself" and "Giraffes Can't Dance"; I want to touch the Moon; Juan Bobo.

Homework: It will be given four days a week, and the page will be dated and folded.

First Day of School Sept. 9th, 2020

 Dear Parents:

I am delighted to welcome your child to our Pre-k program. I think this will be a joyous experience even with the on going of the Covid-19. We will take all the precautions to keep your child safe.

The following reminders:

1. Pre-k children come in at 9:00 AM on Wednesday.
2. Temperature will be check at the main entrance.
3. Dismissal is at 3:00 PM.
4. parents are to wait until the teacher calls to retrieve your child.
5. Child must wear a mask.
6. Children are allow to bring their own lunch if you wan to, however, if its warm food it has to be in a thermos.
7. Have your child bring a frozen water bottle.
8. Bring all paper work that will be sent home as soon as possible; specially the emergency 
9. Label everything your child brings in.
10. Velcro shoes for your child.
11. No belts for the boys; make sure pants fit properly.
12. Talk to your child about the positive experience he will have at school.
13. If you need to speak to me, you must call to make an appointment.
