Dear Parents,

I'm delighted to welcome your child to the Summer Program.We hope this will be a joyous experience for your child.

Our program is designed to help those parents who are not able to take out their child during the summer due to the fact that they need to work;  their child need to work on some classwork skills; or they want their child to spend a good time with their friends in school.  

Also, we would like to notify the parents that the children will be entering through the lunch room. The program will begin at 7:00 AM and will end at 4:00 PM.  Breakfast, and lunch will be supply every day for your child. However, you can sent food from home if you wish.

The following is a typical Pre-k Summer session:

  • Breakfast

  • Math
  • Reading
  • Lunch
  • Science
  • Games
  • Sprinklers in our backyard
Supplies needed:
  • Bathing Suit

Reminders:
  • Send child's supplies ASAP.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided. However, you could sen food from home.

Dear Parents,

I would like to thank the students, parents, family members, Mrs. Rosa, and Mrs. De Luna, Mrs. Santalises, and Mr. Woods for your patience and cooperation throughout the year. Without all of you we couldn't have accomplished what we did this year. And thank you for trusting our Catholic School education.

Also, please thank Mr. Woods for making sure the children had everything they need, and for making his daily visits a very happy event for the children. 

Reminders:

  • Children must be in school at 9:00 AM. (Please make sure they are on time.)
  • Moving Up Ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday June 22nd.
  • Only two family members and two guess.
  • Boys must wear  khaki pants and a colorful Polo Shirt. (No sneakers)
  • Girls must wear a summer dress. ( No sneakers)

 Dear Parents:

I would like to inform you that the student may dress up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character on Tuesday March 2nd. The children have been enjoying dress up days. We will be looking forwards for those great character of Dr. Seuss books.

Re-registration for your child is  has began. If you have any questions call the school office. If you need a Virtual Tour call Mrs. McGarry at the school office to arrange for one.

Also, Moving Up Ceremony will occurring in  June. Due to the Covid-19 there will be a limit of 4 adults per child.

Feb. 22 - Feb. 26, 2021

 Dear Parents,


There will be no early dismissal  Monday February 22nd. There will a full day of school.

Also, we will be celebrating the 100 Days of School on Friday Feb. 26. Have your child dress up, there are many great ideas in the internet. There will be a dress up contest in each class, so be creative. We want to show the children that school is also a fun place to be.

Please check with me  to make sure your child extra clothing.  Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing for the weather.

 Dear Parents;

I would like to remind you that Ash Wednesday Mass is at 10:00 AM. There will be no placing of ashes on the children's forehead. Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday at 2:00 PM.

Registration for next year begins on Feb. 24,2021. If you need a Virtual Tour please call the office to make arrangements. We hope to see your child back in O.L.Q.M. in September. We are always committed to your child's education, and we make sure your your child feels that we are part of his or her family.

Dress down on Fridays and bring a dollar.

Check for your child for extra clothing, and make sure that they are season appropriate.

We need Clorox wipes.

On  Wednesday, Feb. 10th there will be a Valentines Party for our classroom. The children can dress up, and bring a bag of candy to share with their friends.

Also, remember that school will closed on Feb. 11th, 12th, and 15th. Please check your calendar for everything is going on the month of February.

Check with the for your child's extra clothing.

We are collecting $5 for Valentine's Day Party

Bring a bag of candy to share with friends.

Valentine's Party will be on Wednesday Feb. 10th (Dress up)

Practice with your child identifying and writing the letters of the alphabet, identifying number 0 - 10, and practice making groups of up to six objects, and joining in (Combine two groups of objects to make a larger group.)

Read to your child often.

February 1st - February 5th, 2021

Dear Parents,

I would like to inform you that report cards will be sent home on Thursday Feb. 4th.  On February 5th. Children will be dismiss at 12:00 PM. for Parent Teacher Conferences. Email me for the time that is more convenient for you, and I will be giving out the Zoom ID and password on Wednesday.

On Feb. 11th and Feb. 12th school will be close. There will be a Professional Development on the 11th, and on the 12th is President's Day. Feb. 14th we will have a Valentine party and we are asking for $5 for the party.

Please make sure you review letters; letters/sound; numbers; and shapes with your child. Now we will begin learning about 3-D shapes (cones, sphere, cube, cylinder, and pyramid) practice identifying them.

Reminders:

I would like to remind you that Tuition Assistance is available for parents that have been affected by Covid-19. Final date to apply is Jan. 31st.


Candy Bars may be picked up during the morning drop off (7:45 - 8:00 AM). Just see Mr. Guzman at his office.

Touring Tuesdays  begins on Jan. 26th every Tuesday. It will be a virtual tour, call the office for appointments.

Dear Parents;

I would like to inform you that there is an Early Dismissal at 2:00 on Monday Jan. 11th. If you cannot pick up your child schedule for someone to pick him up, however, he/she must bring an ID if they are not in the Emergency Card. 

Also, I would like to inform the parents that the children could log into SeeSaw to the assigned activities. The children who have joined are having a lot of fun.

On Friday Jan. 15th- National Hat Day. The children can make their own hats or wear their favorite one. Also, School will be close on Monday Jan. 18th.

 Dear Parents;


I hope that you and your family had a healthy and happy Holidays. Also, Mrs. Rosa and I would like to thank you for your thoughtful gits. 

Lessons and Carols video has been posted. Have your family view our video. The children worked very hard on this project. We are very proud of them.

I would like to remind parents that the flu shot is mandatory. New York Department of Health requires that all children in Prek and Kindergarten be vaccinated. Also please follow The Department of Health regulations. Also there will be an early dismissal on Monday January 11th ant 12:00 PM.
