Dear Parents;

I will be making phone call everyday If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them. Zoom Lessons will be on Monday at 11:00, Tuesday at 11:30 AM, Wednesday 11:00.

End of the Year Farewell  Zoom will go on for those students who tuition is up to date in Prek-1.  Zoom sessions will continue until June 18. There will be a Parent Teacher conference on June 19th, and June 22 for those parents which tuition payments are up to date. I will call to find out what is the best time of the day for you. 

I would like to remind you that there are still some work package at the school office from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. These are activities will be for your child to do classwork at home. It would be a great idea to acquire the rest of the booklets so that your child can use them for classwork and their summer vacation. Please bring shopping bags for the booklets. As you may know school will en on June 18th, 2020.

Pray:  Our Father

Pledge of Allegiance:

  • Ask your child what the colors of the flag means : red means courage; white means peace and purity; blue means justice.
  • How many stars are in the american flag (50).
Calendar:

Vocabulary Words: jump, joy, jaguar, Jesus, jello, jeans, jacket, jeep, John, jelly, jar


Strategies:


  • First, have your child spell June.
  • Then ask him for words with initial sound /j/.
  • Then ask: How many days we have in a week?   What day are we in? What is the date? (Say day, month, number, year) Example: Today is Monday,A June 15th the year 2020.
  • Have the children count forward from 1-10, and from 10 to 1.
  • Count in ordinals from 1st- 5th.

Religion:

Growing and Changing

Aim: The children will recognize that death is a part of God's plan for us in which we will be with God forever.

Vocabulary Words: plan, death

Strategies:
  • First explain to your child that plants and animals also grow and change.
  • Have your child view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkpBxLsX430
  • Then ask : Have you notice any change in the plants? What happened to the plants? Why are they growing and changing? How are the plants and you alike?
  • Have your child share a personal experience with death the death of a family member, friend, or pet.
  • Then talk how painful is the death of a family member, friend, or pet.
  • Then discuss with your child that  these family members, friend , or pet are happy with God forever.

Math:

Groups of 9

Aim: The  children will learn to:
  • Make groups of 9 and 10
  • Identify groups of 9 and 10

Vocabulary Words: groups, eight, and nine, create

Strategies:
  • First,  distribute a M&M's or Cheerios and a jars or a plate to your child.
  • Then tell your child a story problem: Jagr had 9 M&M. Then he added one more 
  • Have the your child count ( 9 M&M then add one more.
  • Have the children count the M&Ms and tell how many M&M his has in the plate.
  • Then ask: How many M&Ms did Jgar place plate. Is that a group 9 or 10 M&Ms? How do you know? How many M&M do you need to make a group of 10? How do you know you have 10? (You counted.)
  • Then continue the activity with different numbers of M&M.


Story Time: Top, Middle, Bottom


Reading:

Predicting outcomes

Aim: The children will listen to "Top, Middle, Bottom" and will make predictions.

Vocabulary Words: predict, outcomes, trick, root, stem

Strategies:
  • First, introduce the story "Top, Middle, Bottom."
  • Then discuss with your child ways people can tricked.
  • Have your child view the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm5nAcqWmJU
  • Then tell your child the characters as they appear on the video.
  • Set a purpose for reading by telling the children that we are going to listen a story about a hare, and a bear who work in farm.
  • I will read "Top, Middle, Bottom" I will stop  periodically to have the children remember what happens next in the story and answer the following questions: Was the the bear a hard worker? What about the hare? Do you think the bear will agree to letting hare plant the farm?  What did hare do to bear? What do you think will happen next? I will continue reading the story and stop.
  • Ask: What did bear tell hare about his tricks? Did bear and hare learned a lesson? What did they learned? What did you learn?
