October 26th - October 30th, 2020

Dear Parents;

Please read carefully the blog posted by our school. Mr. Woods will post all  the important information on the blog.

October 30th  we will have a Halloween party following all the Department of Health regulations. Child can wear their Costumes. We will will provide juice, cup cakes, chips, Pizza or McDonal's, We are asking the parents for $ 5 for the party. Parents can not send goody bags for the classroom. However, each student will get goody bags. Everything inside will be individually wrapped.

On Nov. 13 the will a Parent Teacher conference from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. I will call parents to schedule your time.


Reminders:

Homework only the marked pages.

Gym will be is every day except Mondays.

Please ask child's teacher to see if  your child has extra clothing in his cubby.

No glass bottles in the classroom.

No toys from home allowed.

Children must be in full uniform every day except Fridays.

Fridays is dress-down and must bring a dollar.

We are collecting $5 dollars for the children's Halloween Party on Oct. 31st.


Lessons of the Week:

Religion: Feelings

Reading: "La Tortuga"
Recall details, follow oral directions, discriminate between soft soft sounds and loud sounds, understand positional words "in" and "on", identify the letters B and b and its corresponding sound.

Math:
 Counting forwards from 0-10 and backwards from 10 to 0; identify numbers 1 and 5; form numbers 3 and 4.

Science:  Investigate the external characteristics of a pumpkin.

Music: Five Little Pumpkins

October 19th- Oct. 23rd, 2020

Dear Parents;

Please rad carefully the blog posted by our school. I has a lot of information concerning vaccinations. This is due to the Department of Health new regulations.

October 30th  we will have a Halloween party following all the Department of Health regulations. Child can wear their Costumes. We will order pizza, juice, and cup cakes, and they will have individual bag of chips. We are asking the parents for $ 5 for the party.

Also, there will be an Evacuation Drill.  Students will practice this week as per the guidelines of the FDNY.  All will be brought to the Cloisters located at the top of Ft. Tryon Park. This is in the event that we need to evacuate for an extended period.

Dear Parents,

Pickup is at 3:00 p.m.  If the child is being picked up by an individual not already listed in the emergency card, parents must call the office with the name, and the individual must present identification. If you change your phone number please let the office know. 

October 15th, National I Love Lucy Day. Your child may dress-up as a character from the show. each class will have a contest for the best dress character from the show. 

Also, have your child explore their five senses at home such as, cooking, playing, or nature walks.
