10/29/18 to 11/2/18

Dear Parents,

The Halloween Parade will take place on October 31st at 8:30 a.m. Parents are invited.  There will be a costume contest at 1:00 p.m. for the Pre-K.  We are asking for $5 and a bag of candy for our classroom's Halloween Party. No Peanuts and No Hard Candy.

Please check the cubbies to make sure your child extra clothing.

Children should not walk into classroom with breakfast at 8:00 a.m.

Lessons of the Week:

Religion: Halloween

Reading: Listening for comprehension; prior knowledge; book handling; rhyming words; recall details; reviewing the letters Aa, Bb, and Cc, and their corresponding sounds

Math: Ordering numbers 1 through 5; groups of objects from 1 through 4

Science: Characteristics of pumpkins

Story Time: "Big Pumpkin," "Palypo," and "The Biggest Pumpkin Ever"

Dear Parents,

Hispanic Heritage Music Presentation will be on Tuesday, October 9th at 9:00 AM. Boys should wear denim jeans and white polo shirt. Girls should wear a denim skirt and white polo shirt.

Fire Prevention Week Presentation will take place on Thursday, October 11th at 10:00 AM. Fireman Ivan and Fireman Bill (alumni) will be here to make a presentation to all the students. Parents are welcome to join.

Make sure your child has extra clothing in their cubbies.

Reading: Identifying sounds, listening and responding to stories read aloud, determine important ideas, connect text to experience, match pictures, identifying same and different

Math: Patterns (shape, color, size)

Science: Continue reviewing the five senses
