Dear Parents;


Due to  the continued concern surrounding the COVID-19 , and the advice of Mr. Mr. Michael J. Deegan Superintendent of Schools of the Archdiocese of New York to close the schools, we are sending some work home for  your child s to continue their learning. 

 Week's work suggestions:


 Religion: 
  • Monday - Friday: Have the children talk about: When Jesus was a Little Boy; Jesus was Baptized; Jesus' Disciples; The Wedding Party; Jesus Goes Fishing with Peter; Jesus Cure a Blind Mam; Caught in a Thunderstorm; Jesus Helps a Blind Man; A Real Big Picnic; Jesus Helps a Wild man; Walking on water; Let the Children Talk to Me; Jesus Friend Dies; The Lost Sheep.
Reading:  
  • Monday: The children will learn to: Identify uppercase Q and lowercase q;  recognize the sound /q/ in initial position as in quarter; quilt, quail, queen, question mark.
  • Tuesday: The children will learn to associate the letters  with the sound /q/. (Have the children tell words with initial sound/q/.
  • Wednesday: The children will write Uppercase Q on Activity P. 48-49 Handwriting Book.
  • Thursday: The children will identify R r; and will associate the letters R r with initial sound /r/ in Activity P. 120.

  • Friday: The children will practice writing R r i n Activity P. 119.
Math: 
  • Monday: Identify the plus and equal sign; tell the addition sentence; solve addition problem of up 5 objects; identify the sum. Activity P. I 10.
  • Tuesday: Identify the plus and equal sign; tell the addition problem; solve the addition problem of up to 6 objects. Activity How Many Are There?
  • Wednesday: The children will use home objects such as coins, beans, or other objects to: Identify the plus and equal sign; tell the addition sentence; solve the addition problem; identify the sum of of to 6 objects in Activity P. P 9-5.
  • Thursday and Friday: The children will use objects from home such as beans or coins to: Identify the plus and equal sign; say the addition sentence; solve the addition problem; and identify the sum.
Science: Have the children identify soil, rocks and sand.

Social Studies: Have the children identify means of Land Transportation.

  • Thursday: Sequencing Activity Page
