Nov. 16th - Nov. 20th, 2020

I would like to remind the parent that on Nov. 18th there will be a Micky Mouse Dress Up. A winner will be selected in each class. 

Also, please check to see if your child has extra clothe in your child's cubby that is appropriate for the weather. Some of the children do not have extra clothing that is appropriate for the fall.

Reminders:

  • Mickey Mouse Dress Up Day Contest on  Nov. 18   
  • Dress Down on Fridays, please bring a dollar.
  • Have your child work on the skills we discussed on Parent Teacher Conference.
  • Immunization must be to date.

Lessons of the Week:

Religion: God's Gift of People

Reading: Identifying uppercase E and lowercase e; initial sound /e/ forming E and e; letter sound correspondences,  identifying uppercase F and lowercase f; initial sound /f/ forming F and f; letter sound correspondences, food we get from the farms.

Math: Identify numbers from 1- 10; Counting forwards from 1-10 and backwards fro 10 to 1, identifying the number 7,  making groups of up to 7 objects; forming number  and writing 7

Science: Weather: Identify weather of the day, and record weather.

Social Studies: Farms: Food we get from the farms.

Nov. 9th - Nov. 13, 2020

Dear Parents,

I would like to remind the parent that teacher Conferences will be on Friday November 13, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM via Zoom. There will be an early dismissal at 12:00 noon. Check Smart Tuition balance before Zoom Meeting. Please, email me to let me know what is the best time for you.

Also, please check to see if your child has extra clothe in your child's cubby that is appropriate for the weather. Some of the children do not have extra clothing that is appropriate for the fall.

Nov. 2nd-Nov. 6th, 2020

 Dear Parents;


I would like to remind the parent that teacher Zoom Conference will be on Nov. 13, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. There will be an early dismissal at 12:00 noon that day. I will be calling to schedule your Zoom time.

Also, we will be sending a new Health & Safety Checklist. Please return the form by Tuesday morning.

Reminders:
  • Tuesday November 2nd, 2019 Election Day - School will be open.

October 26th - October 30th, 2020

Dear Parents;

Please read carefully the blog posted by our school. Mr. Woods will post all  the important information on the blog.

October 30th  we will have a Halloween party following all the Department of Health regulations. Child can wear their Costumes. We will will provide juice, cup cakes, chips, Pizza or McDonal's, We are asking the parents for $ 5 for the party. Parents can not send goody bags for the classroom. However, each student will get goody bags. Everything inside will be individually wrapped.

On Nov. 13 the will a Parent Teacher conference from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. I will call parents to schedule your time.

Gym will be is every day except Mondays.

October 19th- Oct. 23rd, 2020

Dear Parents;

Please rad carefully the blog posted by our school. I has a lot of information concerning vaccinations. This is due to the Department of Health new regulations.

October 30th  we will have a Halloween party following all the Department of Health regulations. Child can wear their Costumes. We will order pizza, juice, and cup cakes, and they will have individual bag of chips. We are asking the parents for $ 5 for the party.

Also, there will be an Evacuation Drill.  Students will practice this week as per the guidelines of the FDNY.  All will be brought to the Cloisters located at the top of Ft. Tryon Park. This is in the event that we need to evacuate for an extended period.

Dear Parents,

Pickup is at 3:00 p.m.  If the child is being picked up by an individual not already listed in the emergency card, parents must call the office with the name, and the individual must present identification. If you change your phone number please let the office know. 

October 15th, National I Love Lucy Day. Your child may dress-up as a character from the show. each class will have a contest for the best dress character from the show. 

Also, have your child explore their five senses at home such as, cooking, playing, or nature walks.
