Lunch break is at 11:45 a.m. If the child prefers lunch from home, food must be in a container or thermal. No glass bottles for lunch or snack.
No breakfast after 8:00 a.m. Class begins immediately at 8:00 a.m. Pickup is at 3:15 p.m. If the child is being picked up by an individual not already listed in the emergency card, parents must call the office with the name and the individual must present identification. No goody bags on children's birthday parties due to allergies and it's a choking hazard.

Parent Signature Pages and Emergency cards are due to me on Monday, September 16th. Please return them in the envelope in which they were distributed.

2019-2020 Opening Letter and School Supplies List
Dear Parents,
I am delighted to welcome you and your child to our Preschool Program. Let's work together to make this a joyous growing experience for your child.
Our program is designed to develop awareness and nurturing of each child's precious spirit. Our program recognizes that our Pre-K students are eager learners even though their social, fine and gross motor skills, language and cognitive abilities are not fully developed. This program is also designed to meet the individual needs of the early learner and teach children how to share, socialize and function in a group. The group lays the foundation of faith and guides the children in daily prayer and academic activities designed to prepare them for Pre-K second level.
A typical Pre-K day entails:
- Opening exercises (Welcome prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, calendar and weather)
- Religion (lessons via circle time)
- Restroom Break
- Reading/Language (rhymes, little books, big books, oral language development, phonetic awareness activities, auditory discrimination and listening skills, visual discrimination, knowledge of the alphabet, development of writing activities, beginning print and book concepts, comprehension skills, learning center activities)
- Math (positions and classifications, comparisons and patterns, number readiness and graphing, numbers 0-20, adding and subtracting, fractions, measurements, geometry)
- Story time (theme of the week)/Arts and Crafts
- Music
- Restroom Break
- Nap
- Snack (No glass bottles, only box juice and no chips, or popcorn)
- Circle Time: Science or Social Studies
- Playtime

Reminder
1. Bring your child to school on time (after 8:00 am your child needs a late pass);
2. Bring absent note if your child is absent (IT’ S A MUST!) It is required by the Department of Education;
3. Read calendar carefully for early dismissals;
4. Send your child’s supplies on time;
5. Bring Emergency cards on time;
6. Send homework on time;
7. If you need to talk to me about your child’s progress, you must see make an appointment; it will be done by Zoom;
8. Please, no outside toys and blankets allowed;
9. Read to your child every night (15 minutes);
10. Label everything your child brings to class;
11. Children should have breakfast every day before 7:45 am;
12. No glass or plastic bottles allowed; juice should be in a juice box or the aluminum packaging;
13. Full uniform required every day;
14. Shoes should have Velcro;
15. No belts for boys; make sure pants fit properly.

Reminder, Our Moving Up Ceremony will be on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00 AM. Children should be in the classroom no later than 9:00 a.m. already dressed up. It is a jungle theme graduation. Boys should be dressed up in khaki Bermuda shorts and a bright colored polo shirt. Girls should be dressed in a nice bright colored dress. This is the last day of school.
Finally, the aides and I would like to thank you for entrusting your children with us and for choosing a Catholic School education. We loved working with the children, watching them grow and be intrigued by the world around them. We know we laid a strong foundation of learning and faith to follow them in the years to come.

Our graduation will be on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. It is a jungle theme graduation. Boys should be dressed up in khaki Bermuda shorts and a bright colored polo shirt. Girls should be dressed in a nice bright colored dress. Please arrive by 9:00 a.m. already dressed.
Please bring in a baby picture and an End of the Year/Graduation picture for a project.

Tuition Suspension Day is Monday, June 3, 2019. At the end of the year all tuition accounts must be up to date for children to attend class. Letters will be sent home regarding outstanding tuition which totals as of today at $ 59, 700.00. Please call Smart tuition beforehand or see Mr. Guzman in the school office.
Wednesday, June 5th is Uniform Measurement Day between 2pm and 4pm. Forms are available in the office from Alba. There is a separate form for girls and boys. Please make sure you pick up the correct form.
Noon dismissal on Friday, June 7th.
Our graduation will be on June 18th at 10:00 a.m. It is a jungle theme graduation. Boys should be dressed up in khaki Bermuda shorts and a bright colored polo shirt. Girls should be dressed in a nice bright colored dress.

Please check the cubbies to make sure your child extra clothing. Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing for the weather. Children should not walk into classroom with breakfast at 8:00 a.m.
Please immediately alert me and my staff if your child is allergic to any food or chemical. Please do not bring food with peanuts or sesame seeds (including food made with sesame seed oil) into the classroom.
Please take your child to the bathroom before coming in to the classroom.
