10/22/18 to 10/26/18

Dear Parents,

The Halloween Parade will take place on October 31st at 8:30 a.m. Parents are invited.  There will be a costume contest at 1:00 p.m. for the Pre-K.  We are asking for $5 and a bag of candy for our classroom's Halloween Party. No Peanuts and No Hard Candy.

Please check the cubbies to make sure your child extra clothing.

Children should not walk into classroom with breakfast at 8:00 a.m.

Lessons of the Week:

Religion: Wonderful Me; anti-bullying curriculum

Reading: "La Tortuga"; observe book handling skills; listen and respond to read aloud; discuss story words; listen for comprehension; use prior knowledge; recall details; identify sounds (loud, soft)

Math: Patterns; identifying numbers 1 and 2; counting 0 to 10 forward and backwards

Science: All about pumpkins

Dear Parents,

School is closed on Monday, October 15th.

Please check the cubbies to make sure your child extra clothing.

Children should not walk into classroom with breakfast at 8:00 a.m.

Dear Parents,

Hispanic Heritage Music Presentation will be on Tuesday, October 9th at 9:00 AM. Boys should wear denim jeans and white polo shirt. Girls should wear a denim skirt and white polo shirt.

Fire Prevention Week Presentation will take place on Thursday, October 11th at 10:00 AM. Fireman Ivan and Fireman Bill (alumni) will be here to make a presentation to all the students. Parents are welcome to join.

Make sure your child has extra clothing in their cubbies.

Dear Parents,

I would like to inform you that on Thursday, October 4th, we will celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The mass will be at 9:00 am. Parents are invited and can bring domestic animals to be blessed.

Please make sure to bring back your child's sleeping mats.

Make sure your child has extra clothing in the cubbies.

Emergency Cards and Medical Forms are due this week. School is closed on Tuesday, September 25th. 

We cannot accept breakfast after 8:00 a.m. in the classroom. Lessons begin promptly begin at 8:00 a.m.

Dear Parents,

Noon dismissal on Monday, September 17th. After school program is in session.  Opening School Mass on Friday, September 21st at 9:00 AM led by the students of the 7th and 8th grades.Parents are welcome to attend.

Reminder all forms are due IMMEDIATELY. 

When you drop off your child, please leave right away so they may get accustomed to the school environment.

9/10/18 to 9/14/18

Dear Parents,

Parents' signature pages and emergency cards are due this week. For birthday parties, please inform me at least 2 days in advance.  Birthday parties take place in the lunchroom during lunchtime.  Lunch period for Pre-K has been changed to 11:15 a.m. and ending at noon. Immunization policy requires your child's immunizations are up to date. Please review your child's records with your pediatrician. Afterschool program begins Monday, September 9th.

Please label everything with your child's name, including food containers.  Also, please have lunch and snack in separate containers appropriately labeled.  Finally, please bring in the supplies requested.
